Question:

I want to make handmade chocolate for valentines day! How is it done?

I want to do something for my anime club and make hand/homemade chocolates for valentines dayIf you know, in Japan, girls tend to give handmade chocolates and i would like to know the procedure. Is it melted and molded into new shapes? Or made from scratch? I've done my research but I haven't found anything that answers my questionAlso, how would i wrap them? The traditional western way (aluminum) or the way Japanese do it-however that is.? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Answer:

buy a good amount of just solid milk chocolate bars (dont go crazy with it) buy some molds, stores even like walmart should have something that you could useMelt down the chocolate at a moderately low temp stirring it constantly to avoid burningOnce the chocolate is nice and melted just pour it into the mold as you see fit and let them cool for a little while(freezing is possibly necessary) decorate with icing of some kind or some kind of decorations (such as a heart shaped chocolate with pink decoration on the edges) If you want to go japanese style when wrapping them, get some paper or a see-through material of some kind with perhaps a pattern and wrap a few of them in it and tie it with a ribbonif you really want to do it the japanese way when you present the person with the gift hold it with both hands (unless you want to be all tsundere, then make it sound like it was nothing and say something like i'm not doing it for you)
