I was wondering if a license from another country (say Ecuador) is valid here in the United States for operating heavy machinery? if not, what are the steps for a non-english speaking person to get this license if they know how to operate machines efficiently?

Answer:

Equipment operator license is only valid locally, in the country where it was issued. It would probably be easy to take the test for a US license, but some of the safety requirements will be different, so brush up on the training, and take the test.
