Question:

If lowering your body temperature helps you sleep, why do we sleep under blankets?

It's been fuzzing my brain tonightFrom what I've been reading, your body temperature drops significantly when you're falling asleep/fully asleepSome suggest to put a hot-water bottle under your feet when you go to bed because it increases dilation in your blood vessels, thereby radiating more heat and reducing body temperature. So if cooler temperatures are better for sleep, why do we use blankets at night? I don't know about you, but I find it rather difficult to fall asleep without some form of cover.

Answer:

they dont get that closethey go around itbut in space with no atmosphere they can get a much clearer picture than here on earth without ever getting anywhere near close enough to melt.
I don't think the cool temperature helps you sleep, I think it is just happens once we fall asleep hence the fact that we need the blankets.
