Question:

if my engine says that it has a brake horsepower of 20 bhp then how much hp does it actually have .?

i dont know how to convert it over

Answer:

This horsepower does not take away from the acceleration horsepower, it's different. The braking horsepower is the power the engine absorbs to slow the car down when you remove your foot from the accelerator.
There is no conversion: Brake or net horsepower (power delivered directly by the engine) minus frictional losses in the transmission (bearings, gears, etc.), equals When you see horse power on 'cars' or motorcycles it is rated at engine only. Brake horses are measured at the ground.
