Question:

If someone fired an RPG through a window, would it explode on contact with the glass or after?

Answer:

To be honest, I'm not familiar with how the fuze for thermobaric round or how they would vary from the rpg-7 standard ap round. I do know that the rpg-29 is a larger bore than the rpg-7 and there have been cases in Iraq where an rpg-7 round has completely passed through the windows of an up-armored humvee without detonating. My guess it would depend of the range it was fired from and what it hit inside the vehicle.
bro i'm not sure, but i'll get my taliban buddies on it. we'll get back to you tomorrow
i would imagine that the impact required to activate the warhead would be more significant than the impact required to break the glass.. im al not 100% sure though what i am 100% sure of however is that mosques built without glass in the windows arent because of this, generally in countries where you would find these mosques are hot countries and dont require glass widnows for insulation, plus glass is expensive and these are often poor countries
If it is thick enough (the glass) to push back the detonator. If you are an observant researcher, you'd notice that penetration occurs then explosion, which means the time of the penetration is the time the detonator takes to create the fuse in the rocket head. The booster is so fast that even that split second reaction can be carried out within an object, be it a car or armor.
Depends on the thickness of the glass, and no, most mosques have been doing without windows for 1500 years.
