Question:

If the car is left on the hoist lifted in the air in Drive and slightly accelerated cause any problems?

If the vehicle is lifted up on the hoist and put in drive, left running with slight acceleration e.g.,60 mph cause any problems to occur in the vehicle? It is left running for testing purposes. The vehicle will be running for appx. 15 hrs.

Answer:

there shouldn't be any problems. you will most likely run out of gas if you run it that long. but as long as you keep an eye on the temp gauge, you should be alright.
Also keep your eye on your tachometer. It will be much easier to accelerate with no drag from the tires.
Someone must be present at all hours to shut down in case of oil leakage or coolant leakage which will destroy engine, Trans fluid monitoring required also. As long as monitoring is taking place all will be fine. Do not crank it, accelerate it then leave it alone for any length of time. You will have a detonation if it runs out of any fluids.
Not as long as there is someone there to monitor it. It would be better to drive a vehicle for testing purposes though.
