in the distilaiton of moonshine do you HAVE to use copper pipe?

watched a show on making moonshine and everything was copper like the pipe going from the still to the jar and i wanted to no if you could use any other material . ex plastic tubing

I agree with Tom K except that if you use steel tubing it MUST be stainless steel.
It doesn't have to be copper. But it does need to be a material that will conduct heat easily so that the vapor condenses into liquid easily and quickly. Steel will work. Glass tubing works well, too. Plastic tubing would probably work but perhaps not as well as some other choices. I'd also worry about plastic transferring some taste to the distillate.
