Enchanting costs a crapload, but when you're at higher levels, it's worth it, you can earn money quite easily, I believe. Best thing you can do is take a gathering profession, depending on what your server is like. On the US Anvilmar server, leather isn't selling for jack. Cloths such as silk or wool are ridiculous, and oddly, wool can fetch a higher price than silk sometimes. And copper bars/ore are actually in the auction house for something more than probably 10 silver, engineers need their ores. So really, take another gathering profession based on your server's supply-and-demand rate. If your server has a high price for cloth, go kill stuff and take either. If you server has a high price for leather, kill some beasts and skin them. If your server has a high price for ores, you better head to some mines or caves.
Yes, some do, especially the cheaper trims/versions. Hubcaps are much the same, but now they are in plastic materials and resemble light-alloy wheels.

Enchanting is very expensive. Mining and Skinning make a lot of money.
Most base model cars still have them.
