Question:

Info On Slugs?

Well, I need some help on finding info on slugs for a report. I need as many people to help as possible. I‘m doing some of my own work looking things up, but the more help the better. I‘m trying to persuade people to like slugs, show that they aren‘t too bad. Some interesting facts would be cool too. Thanks in advance. ^_^

They ARE very destructive on a garden and can be repelled by using Epsom salts around each plant, especially tomatoes. On the good side, they are very efficient at breaking down plant matter and are part of the process of turning it back into dirt or.food for the worms. No problem. I don't know a lot about slug. BTW. I don't put the salt on them, but around each plant. You wouldn't believe the size and quality of tomatoes you get using Epsom salts too. I grew up in WA state. We have giant slugs there. Some measure up to 8 inches or more!! They are amazing!!
Hi, did a little searching for you, and although I personally don't like slugs, sorry, I am honest, here is something to help your report. This is an excerpt I took from the website listed following this quote. Of our three largest slugs, only the Banana Slug is native. It is the second largest species in the world and can grow to more than 20 cm. If there is a creature that truly symbolizes the great rainy Northwest, I suggest it is the Banana Slug. It is a good slug, almost never found in gardens or crops. In natural habitats it acts as Nature's garbage collector and recycler, consuming and further breaking down dead and decaying matter. members.shaw.ca/skink517/good_the. Good job for making an effort at school, best of luck to you.
