Question:

inline hockey wheels.?

hi i have 8 80mm wheels and i want to put them on my new skates. but my new skates have a hi low setup with 72mm(2), 80mm(1) and 78mm(1). is there any way i could use more than just 2 of my old 80mm wheels as they are better than the ones im getting. please help?

Answer:

i do not fully understand the question but heres my attempted answer. you can put one 80mm wheel in the front and one in the back but any more with the hilo makes the wheels extremely unbalanced. its hard with those hilo frames. if you really want to use all 80mm then go for a tour hokcey skate, because they are the only ones who make the big wheel setup.
No, you pretty much have to stick with the set up the manufacturer gives you. While I have heard of two different sizes of wheels in a Hi/Lo set up, yours is the first one I have seen using 3 different sizes. The reason you can't successfully change the wheel sizes is that if you do, you throw off the alignment of the wheels, causing one or more of the wheels to lose contact with the floor/surface you are skating on. Just keep those wheels, and you will eventually be able to use them when the others wear down. Good luck. Steve.
