So I watched a video about a hot water heater exploding. I am now scared that ours will explode. I'm 13 so I asked my dad he laughed and said ours was only years old so nothing bad would happen.I'm still extremely scared. I sleep downstairs I close my door everynight and the room where the hot water heater is has a full wall and door and a hallway also separates I sleep with my phone and have a escape window. My bathroom however only has a wall separating me from the hot water heater room.So what I need help with isWhat are the odds it would explode.Would I be safe in my room if it explodes.Also not worrying is not a option.

Well, my first question to you would be, did you keep the lid closed? Washers won't go into spin mode when the lid is open, for safety reasons. Might be something wrong with the safety switch. Other than that it really could be anything from the timer to the transmission to the coupler to the pressure switch Sounds like the timer though. All the best..
