Choosing parts for a new gaming rig. I can't decide between the Intel 2600k, which just released this month, or wait for the AMD Bulldozer, which comes out in Q2 of 2011 supposedly. Any suggestions as to which is better? I've never tried AMD before and I thought I might give it a try but it's quite a long wait.
The 2600K has a significant advantage over ANY AMD chip, even the high end 6 cores. AMD core technology is far behind Intel at this point. I think it would be a miracle if Bulldozer can ever match Sandy Bridge in performance, much less pass it up
