Brake Horsepower (BHP) and Wheel Horsepower (WHP) are the same thing. BHP is derived from an old method of measuring horsepower using a now obsolete tool called a Prony brake, but nowadays it refers to more of the engine's actual power minus power lost in the friction of the drive train components before getting to the driving wheels. WHP is just an alternative term.
Naturally Asperated means the air is sucked into the engine, while super charged or turbo charged means it's forced in by higher pressure than ambient.
The pistons in the cylinders work as a bike pump. When the piston is going down, it creates lower pressure in the cylinder. When the intake valve opens, the air from outside will be pushed inside the cylinder - and you will feel the air move towards the carb. So technically it is forced in, but in everyday terms is sucked in, as people clearly can feel it.
FlagMichael the non-mechanic has missed the boat! When an engine is running intake manifold VACUUM sucks air into the combustion chambers. If you don't believe it, hook a vacuum gauge to the intake manifold with a gasoline engine running. This is not so on a diesel engine as the fuel injector pump lever controls the amount of fuel injected into the combustion chamber. Diesels have no throttle plate to create vacuum in the intake manifild!
