Hi people, just wondering if the main Angkor Wat temple is still under restoration/renovation with all that green tarpaulin and scaffolding on it?I'm wondering when that will be off as it might obstruct the amazing views.Is there any restoration schedules?thanks!!
Basically Angkor Wat is always under construction. The green tarpaulin is still there on the left side, it does ruin the photo opportunity a little bit.
There is some restoration of the main temple that is being funded by Japan. You can still see the main parts of the temple. The temple that has the roots growing over it is also being restored but you can also access most of it and you can get good pictures. Take plenty of water and a hat and sunscreen it is very hot.
