Question:

Is anyone else super disgusted at leftovers?

I'm the exact opposite of a picky eater, I can eat any fast food, restaurant food and gas station food but left overs gross me out like nothing else. They already look like vomit when they're in the pot or tupperware containersThe texture always changes, and there is no good way of heating something up with it either becoming mushy (in the microwave) or dry/burned (pan, oven, etc).Even simple stuff like once delicious pasta, the sauce starts drying onto the pasta itself and manages to make somehow taste of nothing while giving it all a shitty texture. The worst are cooked or sauteed veggies, just nasty! My boyfriend loves it and is the type who always cooks way too much and wants to eat the shitty old food firstIt honestly makes me want to puke in my mouth when i just see it there cold and shrivled up, and i have to force every spoon down.Is there anyone else who is equally as disgusted by it, or am I just super weird.

I love leftovers! You obviously haven't learned the best way to reheat the leftovers you have! When you reheat via the microwave, you should set the control to half powerThat way it actually WARMS instead of drying out! Most veggies warm back up better if you place them is an aluminum foil pouch then put them in the over heated to 250 degreesUnless you've added a lot of juice with them, they heat without becoming mushy! I find most soups sauces taste better the next day because all the seasonings have blended well togetherI just put them in a sauce pan on very low heat until they begin to simmerThe trick is to do a slow steady reheat without being in such a rush to get to the food! That way many leftovers taste as good if not better than it did with the original meal!
