Question:

Is copper....?

is copper found in batteries???

Answer:

copper can be used in batteries, more often for the terminals ,in dry cell batteries graphite and various metal oxides are used, acid batterries are usually lead but can be other metals including copper.
Zinc carbon battery? Lead acid battery Ni-MH (Nickel - Metal Hydride) Ni-Cd (Nickel Cadmium) LIthium ion? do you see copper mentioned?
Copper is not a component of household batteries. Common (AA, AAA, C, D) alkaline batteries are made of zinc and manganese dioxide. There are other types of common (household) batteries made of mercury, lithium, and nickel.
Not generally as a constituent of the battery itself. HOWEVER, it can be used for decorative purposes or terminals. Since copper's really expensive right now, you're more likely to see other processes to get that effect. A Zinc-Copper Battery is usually the first one people study in physics.... Usually with a lemon.
yes durecel and others coat the top and bottom with copper so it will conduct better and more electricity.
