Yes the fuel cell is likely to be very important in the near future. There ar several problems but they will be worked out in time. There are several types of fuel cells. The biggest problem right now is the cost to build them. The other problem is the fuel to make them work. We have gas stations but will have to build the same type of set up for Hydrogen fuel. you can't just convert gas stations over to dispense Hydrogen. Storing hydrogen as fuel is much different. If we solve the problems of cost fro the fuel cells and set up enough stations to fuel the cars then it will work. After that the only question is supplying enough Hydrogen.
