Question:

is it common procedure for after a 'fire alarm' or any kind of evacuation alarm being sounded in your dorm or

apartment building they cannot tell you whether or not it was a drill and they cannot tell you which kind of alarm it was that sounded, fire alarm etc. ? because here they told me 'for security purposes' they cannot tell me which alarm sounded or why. and how does that keep me safe? to not know if there was a fire or a shooting or a drill? or even the difference between a fire alarm and a tornado alarm? I dont understand

Answer:

yes but the paint should be dry for at least 24 hours- if there is any moisture left it can cause the resin to not set properly and can cause bubbles.
The vertical height (h) of the stream of water at time t after leaving the hose is .. h -g/2*t^2 + (vi)sin(θi)t The horizontal distance (d) from the hose will be .. d (vi)cos(θi)t So, the time (t) at which the water strikes the building will be .. t d/((vi)cos(θi)) and the height h will be .. h -g/2*(d/((vi)cos(θi)))^2 + (vi)sin(θi)(d/((vi)cos(θi))) which simplifies to .. h d(tan(θi) - dg/2(sec(θi)/vi)^2)
