my dishwasher has a copper pipe.is it easy to disconnect the copper pipe?

Answer:

If your builder is not a plumber or an electrician he doesn't have to touch the dishwasher. It's a thing called insurance and liability. If he isn't licensed to do either and there's a problem he's in trouble. If you insist he can arrange with someone who is licensed to do the plumbing and electrical. It's pretty simple though and if you're a little handy you should be able to do it.
Turn the water off first, at the shut off valve. You can use a little wrench to disconnect the nut holding the copper water line. Be prepared for a little water to pour out, so have a towel handy. Be careful with the copper line and don't crease it. Copper is kinda soft and easy to bend. Open the door and see if there are screws at the very top holding the dishwasher tight against the counter top. If so, just remove them and gently slide the dishwasher out of the space. There is also an issue of the electrical wiring. If it is directly wired, you will need someone that knows about electricity to remove it and help you.
is this the builder that built your house? and is this warranty work?, because you shouldn't have to do anythingif there doing a repair on their own work there the ones responsible to do what it takes to make it right.
