Question:

Is it ok to install this car alarm on my type of vehicle?

Is it ok to install this car alarm on my type of vehicle?

Answer:

most of the new cars have security system already installed, if you install an aftermarket alarm it may think its being tampered with and you could end up having problems starting the car
THIS IS THE WAY IT WORKS, YOU INSTALL SOME AFTERMARKET ITEM ON YOUR VEHICLE AND LATER YOU HAVE A WARRANTY ISSUE THAT MAY BE RELATED TO SOMETHING ELECTRICAL, I WILL BET ANYTHING THAT THE DEALER WILL SAY THAT THE CAUSE OF YOUR PROBLEMS WILL BE THE ITEM THAT YOU INSTALLED. SEEN THIS DONE MANY TIMES ON MANY OF MY CUSTOMERS VEHICLES AND THAT IS WHY I SAY LEAVE IT ALONE.
I've had a car alarm / car starter installed on my car. No problems -- only smooth sailing. If anything, it's probably bad for the environment (the remote starter bit). But as for the car alarm, there's no damage as long as it's installed by a pro. Throw that sucker on!
