Question:

Is lime still edible after it has been in drinking water once and the peel has been turned yellow?

And how come limes don't have any seeds in them? Thanks.

Answer:

If you are a diabetic then yes unless its sugar free. Look at the label and the carbohydrate content. Most sugar free cordials have o.3 content which will not effect the sugar level. The more carbs the higher the blood sugar will go. : )
Limes, like all fruits, have fructose which raises blood glucose. If you are diabetic, you should test your blood afterward to see how high it raises your blood glucose. I can put lime juice on things without messing up my bg but someone else might get too high a rise from lime juice.
Volume of blood and blood sugar levels are two entirely different things. Limes, Lemons, Oranges, grapefruit and some others are all citrus fruits and even if they are really tart do contain quite a bit of sugar content!! So Yes, they can increase glucose level!
A lime is a fruit and fruits contain fruit sugar, so yes, a lime will increase blood sugar. However, the raise would be VERY small. Lime juice is an acceptable condiment on most low-carb / low-sugar diets. Limes and lemons are very low-sugar compared to other fruits.
