Question:

is my battery dead or is it my car alarm?

Hi, I inherited a 1993 Honda accord with an Automate Alarm in stalled. It also opens and locks the car doors. Yesterday I tried to unlock my car door but there was no response to the remote. I used my key to get in but the car wont start (I think it has a fuel kill switch) but I also noticed that I also had no electricity in the car either (usually the dash at least lights up). So now my car wont start. Do you think its the battery (i can call AAA to jump it) or is the the alarm? I am a 59 year old woman who has no electrical expertise. Thank you.

Answer:

Alarm starter kills usually only interupt one circuit, if you had no ignition lights, no headlight power, no dash lights, ect, its gotta be the battery, check to make sure the cables on it are tight then try jumpstarting it, let it run for at least 20 min after jumpstarting it to get the battery to charge up a bit, if the problem persists, you may need a new battery
This Site Might Help You. RE: How much is 6 feet of a COPPER pipe worth ? I found one on yesterday in my old workshop. It is a copper pipe, and it is 1 inch thick in diameter. The height if it is about 6 feet tall. Do you know how much this is worth ?
I would recommend you call AAA
Trying to jump it is the first step.
The prices are different all over the country. It runs anywhere from $3.50 to $5.00 a pound. You have to weigh the 6ft of copper to see how much you will get for it. Call one of your local recycle centers for the exact price. It is $3.95 here but could be different tommorrow, and different where you are.
