Question:

Is Pokemon Quartz Real?

Is it real?Im not sure, could somebody answer this?

Answer:

It means there is a vibrating quartz crystal inside the watch which is the standard of time the watch mechanism uses to stay 'on time' - analogous to the pendulum in an old fashioned grandfather clock.
It means that the window over the face of the watch/clock is made of quartz crystal.
It means the watch is electronic. It uses the electrical oscillations of a quartz crystal for its timing. It then either turns these oscillations into a digital read out or uses them to turn a mechanical movement. Because the quartz crystal is inherentyle exceedingly accurate, the movement of the watch does not have to be unduly friction free so rather than a old fashioned jewelled movement it is often actually plastic. Quartz watches are far more accurate than their mecahnical counterparts.
The quartz crystal in electric field starts to oscilate, if properly connected to the source of electricity. It is the opposite effect to the piezo-electric effect. Due to it's rigidity, the quartz crystal oscilates at very steady frequency, so it can be used for measurement of time - a certain number of oscilation occurs in one second. Owing to that effect, the accuracy of the quartz clocks goes up to 1 second per month or even longer. Electronics inside the watch or clock is controlling the process, and the small battery can last for 6-12 months, because of low energy consumption of the whole gadget.
It is a quartz crystal that oscillates with precise timing when a current is applied to it without being affected by temperature, humidity, altitude.
