Question:

Is possible to make magnetic field as a parall beam of light so that we can pick up any material made of metal?

is it possible to make magnetic field as a parall beam of light so that we can pick up any material made of metal wch is placed far frm its normal magnetic range?

Answer:

ah, thats fairly good idea! ( I thought of this as well a few years back) if only it were possible. unfortunately, thats just not how magnetic forces work. it would be like trying to get gravity to only work on a direct parallel line. its certainly possible to block off the magnet force in all other areas apart from a small opening, making it only exist in a parallel line but you not increasing its strength at all. actually.there is another thing you can do that would be close to what your talking about. get a coil of wire and wrap it around a pen case (remove the head and butt of the pen and make sure its hollow). wrap it around as many times as you can, as densely put together as you can and as close to each wire as you can. if you connect the wire ends to opposite ends of a battery or power source it will turn the coil into a magnet, drawing all metallic objects to the centre of the pen/coil through the pen tube so that it would move in a parallel way. (im not sure if there would be a magnetic force outside the pen, i never experimented with that). this also requires a significant amount of power to work so a car battery or a few 9v batteries are needed to make this work well. this a concept principle used in cool science toys called coil guns, I have built one myself. try googling it to find some instructions to how they work, it may give you some ideas on what your saying is possible or not. magnets are way cool
No. It makes a loop shape.
