Question:

is prestone coolant good for Aluminum radiator coolant ?

i have Kia Rio Model 2003 and i got one Aluminum radiator coolant .... so i was wondering if prestone is good as a coolant for tht radiator type as i heard much abt its performance

Answer:

it,s good for any kind of radiator. look on the jug and it will tell you. i used that kind for several years in steel radiators and aluminum.
Doesnt really matter the brand, what matters is the type of coolant.
Yes, it is okay! Ensure the water to coolant ratio is followed. Change every 2 years.
Prestone Radiator Coolant
aluminum is a better all around metal for radiators, there is not any chemical reaction between two different metals like in early car radiators and it is a lot more sturdy and longer lasting than plastic, and does not get brittle and crack like plastic. Its best to used distilled or purified water this will keep your radiator much cleaner as tap water is full of heavy metals and other undesirable chemicals depending on where you live, which can actually leave hardened deposits over time that can shorten the life of a radiator.
