Question:

Is radiant barrier better than insulation?

I want to know if adding a radiant barrier is worth the moneyI've done some research and the answers are all over the board.

Answer:

I had a radiant barrier installed about three years agoComplete waste of moneyI never saw a difference in my electric billsI even installed a new thermostat, solar screens and a roof exhaust fanI would never again, or recommend to anyone, buying a radiant barrierMost companies advertise that they will also give you x amount of free insulationIf you see a difference in your energy bills, it's from the insulation, not the radiant barrierThey are a big rip off and a scam as far as I'm concerned.
I've never tried this with steak, but when I make cakes, I put a pan full of water on the shelf below the cake and it makes the air humid in the oven, making the cake more moistYou could also marinate the steak before cooking and/or add it while cooking.
Sorry but the definition of well done DRY! Especially if you bake itYou can grill, broil, charcoal broil or pan-fry a nice steak like rib-eye to MEDIUM WELL and have it be a little bit juicy but, if you really like well done please do not waste your money on steak, buy ground beefIf you don't get the extra lean it will actually be a bit juicy even if it is cooked well doneBert
If you really want a well done steak why do you spend the money for a rib eye? Try a chuck steak or a chuck roastMuch cheaper and have a great flavorCook the chuck in the oven with onion slices and orange slices on topIt will tenderize it and keep it juicyAny steak you over cook is going to be dryA rib-eye, porterhouse or t-bone should never go beyond medium rare.
I've never eaten a well done steak that wasn't dryWell done just equals dry, I thinkTry med wellIt may still be a little dry, but less dry than well done I just think well done ruins steakI never cook them any more than medThere is so much more flavor in a med steak.
