Question:

Is rubber cement safe for skin?

I want to do this trick, but it involves putting rubber cement on your skin. I'm not sure that it is safe. I'm thinking of buying Elmer's rubber cement if it is safe. Also, if it is safe, will it stick? And how do you get it off? Thanks!

Answer:

I don t know If its safe
No it is not safe for skin. Rubber cement contains petroleum distilates which are not good for you. If you are trying to do theatric type of makeup you need to use liquid latex that is intended for theatric ueage. It is available at any costume store and is relatively inexpensive

Also, Liquid Latex, or basic Molding Wax is apparently good for just applying on as scars. Good luck!
