if you make a water bottle bong with a bottle and bic pen, when the plastic heats a little will the fumes mess you up? and what about aluminum foil? i know using cans is bad.
Aw .my daughter used to love making tents with blankets and getting the pots and pans out the kitchen and pretend to cook, get a tea set and play pretend.i miss doing all that !
You could do some easy crafts such as: -make paper plate mask of his favorite character from a story book or movie (we made the Max from Where The Wild Things Are) -sock puppets have a puppet show (we all have those lonely socks that have lost their partner!) -make your own playdoh from kitchen ingredients (kinds love this!) These are just a few simple inexpensive ideas that will keep you both busy for awhile! Good luck have fun!
It's not quite the same as coloring, but have you ever thought about that Crayola mess-free fingerpaint? You could also take him out to placesIt would mean he'd be outside for a short time (getting in and out of the car) but you could take him to your local public library (most of them have a room set up specially for young kids), to your local mall (ours has an indoor play place that has padded carpeting and firetruck/ambulance/hospital made out of this hard foam rubber stuff so that if they fall, they won't get hurtThat would burn off some of his energy:) You could also cook something with him (something easy like no-bake cookies so he wouldn't get burned)You could even take him to your local McDonald's and let him play in the Play Place for a while and you can sit and relax and have a coffee or something:)

Well think about itIf you're heating the plastic enough that you know you are causing it to smoke and you're inhaling it - you're inhaling the plasticSame if you smoke using treated paper (like from books or newspapers)So thats not a good idea eitherSmoking from aluminum is just as bad as smoking from cans - they're both aluminumBut all is not lost you can still construct a pipe from lug nuts or other metal, hollow tubesBack in the day what I would do is take two knives and heat them up then take a little nug and press it between the two knives and inhale the smoke through the top part of a two liter bottle that we'd cut outYou can pretty much convert just about anything into a smoking apperatus if you just use enough imagination (think fish tank).
