Question:

is straightening your hair really that bad for you?

even if you use a chi every other day, is it bad for your hair? what effects does it have? do those anti heat things work? if so whats the proper way to use them without causing steam to go off your hair when you straighten itthanks guys

Answer:

First off a dipole antenna should be vertical to the Earth's surfaceA dipole antenna is trying to radiate in all planes but is concentrated in the in the horizontal and positioning it in the vertical gives the furthest distance of radiation discounting the ionosphere reflection that can make me hear Chicago when I live in AtlantaThat is the exception to the rule but the dipole is still in the vertical plane.
Any metal object like steel, aluminiumlead etc should never be used in microwaveIf you use metal objcet and start microwave witnin a few seconds you will see lot of burning gas will come out soon you open the microwave doorSo far I have not heard the use of metal objects in microqave recently So do not use metal parts.
Any kind of heat product, when used that regularly, damages your hairEssentially, you're burning it (even if it doesn't seem like itThat's why when some people use a hair dryer or flat iron, even a ceramic one, it smells like hot, slightly burnt hair) so it does a lot of damageThe proper way to straighten hair, if you're going to, is to use a hair dryer and a flat cushioned brush on damp hairYou should use a diffuser on the dryer and have it set on warm not hot, holding it a couple of inches from the brush, brush from the underside of your hair slowly, following the movement with the hair dryerIt takes more time, but it's not as damagingIf you're going to use a flat iron, always use some kind of thermal protecting product before you flat iron it, and don't use it while your hair is wet- hair is at its most vulnerable state when wet and is more prone to damage Whatever you do, do NOT chemically straighten your hairRelaxers and perms change the make up of your hair and in order to get to the structure to do it, some of the natural protective barrier on your hair is destroyedThat's why people who get perms/relaxers done regularly often have a hard time with breakage and growing hair out.
