Question:

Is the landlord of a single family home supposed to provide fire safety equipment in Georgia?

I just moved into this home in Georgia. How can I find out if the landlord is supposed to provide the home with fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors. Also, how many of them are supposed to be in the home.

Answer:

My guess would be improper or partially blocked venting. If you have a furnace, the fumes from the pilot light may not be getting to the outside where they belong. The fan comes on, and blows carbon monoxide into the house. If the new furnace was improperly installed, check with your dealer or whoever installed it. If it's leaking, or not venting correctly, it should be covered by the warranty.
DO NOT LIGHT CAMP FIRES!} PERIOD! FIRE PITS DO NOT STOP CAMP FIRES GETTING OUT OF CONTROL! Besides which there is no need to light a camp fire there are adiqate camp stoves on the market. Far better to use one than to join the long long list of idiots who have been responsible for killing wild life and in some cases themselves and distorting hundres of acres of heath land
