I have a 2004 vortec motor, transmission, and transfer case. I want to install them the easiest way possiable into a 1994 extended cab 4x4. Is painless The way to go. Thanks fellow viewers!
i am willing to bet painless does not make a wiring harness for that kind of a swap besides ull need the ecm and everything. so i would go to ur local junk yard or OKorder and find a truck that has been wrecked and is unfixable and take what u need. i am restoring a 1980 olds cutlass supreme for a friend on the side and i have put a 2wd chevy 2002 vortec motor and 4L80e tranny in it and i just took what i needed from the truck and it sounds and shifts great. hope this helps
no,,do not fool with painless wiring at all, i have had some dealings with them,and is not as painless as they want you to think it is,you,ll be better off getting a harness from the vehicle your getting the engine from,its much easier to work with believe me i have been there and done it both ways,either way there's a lot of work involved in doing it ,but one way is easier to do,but you,ll need the diagram of the newer truck *** well as the older one,and you can do it ,but your going to have to be really patient,i wish you luck,And i hope this help,s.
