I know that they have the same base gas, but each company adds its own additives. Will I notice a huge difference between shell or chevron's additives? Do you think one company has better gas than the other? Why?
Nitrogen enriched Chevron gas? That makes no sense. Nitrogen makes up 99% of the atmosphere and nitrogen does not burn. Sounds more like they are leaning out the mixture. The nitrogen is not in the gas, it is the air. Chevron used to have Oxygen enriched gas. Now oxygen burns. So why the switch ? Shell uses clam shells in their gas I guess or somebody takes aP" in a tank and that is the additive. That or alog". What you don't know, won't hurt you. Both have imaginary additives but if you are willing to spend the extra money money for it, go for it. They both rely on advertising. Like I care if the inside of the engine is super clean...I am not going to eat off of it. The build up shown on an exhaust valve takes 30 years to accumulate on a oil burning vehicle. I rebuild engines so the ads are BS

The additives in both of these gases is designed to clean your engine valves of gunk. Gunk is a thick, black dirty kind of soot that collects on the engine valves which can cause the engine to run poorly after a while and eats more gas because they are dirty. They are not better gas, but it is the cleaning additives that are supposed to make them better for your engine because they keep the INSIDES of the engine cleaner. I have found that by using them, occasionally, they do clean the engine, keep it running smoother, and give just a bit better gas mileage. They cost more money, and so I use them and fill up with them from empty, if I feel my engine is getting a bit sluggish or the gas mileage is suffering, and they usually help. You do not need to use them 100% of the time, but it is good occasionally, when the tank is empty to fill it with Chevron or Shell, and then maybe a second tank full. It is also always better to stick to name brand, well know, gasoline. Cheap gas has no additives to clean your engine, and it can also be dirty which can clog your fuel pump, leading to engine failure.
