Question:

Is there a safe & secure way to add plastic bubble tubes to a wire hampster cage?

I don't mind cutting the wire but I want to make sure hampster won't get hurt the bubble tube can't be pushed off by her.

Answer:

I wouldn't risk it. If a hamster gets cut that's prety much the end of the hamster, they don't have much blood to waste. If you are trying to get more space for your hamster get a big bin from Wal-Mart or any other store, wash it, put the hamster in with his/her toys. Put a window screen on top, you have a hamster cage. You wouldn't believe how many people keep thier hamsters in bins, its roomy, cheep, and easy to clean. Hope this helps!
You can fold the wire back so that there are no sharp edges when you cut. You can certainly use zip ties, just check them to make sure your hamster doesnt chew them off. Be creative. Modified cages are fun to make!
yes use zip ties, they come in all colors and are very strong and nontoxic
