There are many many material that have a low thermal conductivityFor something that doesn't come in contact with a liquid, a material as simple as wood will work wellOtherwise styrofoam is excellent I know mylar foil is an incredible insulator from -200 degC to 20 degC , but I don't know about higher temperaturesIts very light also Maybe a foam material with a mylar foil coating would be best Otherwise see what thermos bottles are made of (ceramics, glass, .).
