Question:

Is there a way to paint a brass light fixture and make it look like oil rubbed bronze?

I am trying to change out my light fixtures from a shiny brass finish to oil rubbed bronzeI have a ceiling fan that is brassI don't think the fan is actually real brass-probably brass colored metal of some typeDoes anyone know if it is possible to paint it to make it match the oil rubbed bronze ones? Can't afford to buy a new fanThanks for the help.

Answer:

Once upon a time there was a book in a dogs bum on the carpet in the car out of the window up a tree
I am so pi$sed at my dogIt went to the bathroom on my carpet and chewed up my new bookI'm so mad I'd like to throw it out a windowOr run over it with my carBut the stupid thing ran up a treeI wish there was an elevator to climb that tree.
Once upon a time I was told by some anonymous guy on the internet to create a story that had a book, dog, carpet, car, elevator, window, and a treeI didn'tThe end.
AbsolutelyIt will just take some time and effortLight sanding to give the new paint something to adhere toLots of great spray paints on the market in the Bronze tonesEither tape over or use light aluminum foil to cover the areas you don't want paint to get intoThen let the spraying begindon't try and cover it all in one coatA few light coats will give you better coverage and a better finish.
