Question:

Is there anything else needed for my altar?

I have in it so far:Many crystalsGood luck charmSword made from a nail file and aluminum foilOracle cardsA tea-light candleDo i need anything else?

Answer:

Presumably you plan to create a focused parabolic reflector and have it oriented to heat the bottom of a panIt will obviously need to be larger than the pan in order to gather sunlight outside of the pan's shadow, as well as gather and concentrate enough light onto the bottom of the pan to heat its contentsIf you use black paint on the bottom of the pan, make sure it's high temperature paint (available at auto supply stores, often used to paint engine blocks and exhaust manifolds)Yes, a cover on the pan will make it hotter.
No but look in youtube for other ways of charging batteries There is allot of neat ideas like building a small wind generator from scrap parts such as old speaker magnets copper wire out of transformers things that most people toss in the junk .
Are we talking a tiny traveling altar kit? One year for Yule I gave everybody in my coven a little wooden box containing: Small piece of white cloth as altar cover two tiny candle holders made of sculpey, sized for birthday candles two birthday candles 1 wooden toothpick (wand) 1 pin with pearl head (athame) 1 penny (pentacle) 1 tiny bottle of essential oil 1 cone incense 1 quartz crystal one thimble (chalice) 1 packet of salt from a fast-food place a jingle bell For your purposes, I'd cut down on the many crystals and ditch the good luck charm and oracle cardsAn altar should have, at minimum: one or two candles (your tealight is ok) pentacle (if one of those crystals is a roundish flat stone, that's ok, otherwise something stone, wood, metal or ceramic that's round and flat) athame (your sword is ok) wand (a decorated dowel or smooth stick is ok) chalice (a nice cup used only for ritual) a couple of cones of incense a little bottle of spring water a little bottle of sea salt matches/lighter for the candles and incense
