Question:

Is there anyway a LCD monitor can be repaired.?

I have a 21inch Dell LCD monitor that keeps getting red lines in the middle of my screen. When I turn the monitor on it works fine, but when it gets hot(after about 30 minutes) the red line shows up on the screen. Please respond asap.

Answer:

No a caught pixel can't be repaired. attempt to stay with it. each and every now and then your visual demonstrate unit would have a guaranty that specifies what type of pixel defects are coated under the guaranty. which would be well worth exploring. I son't be responsive to what type a L19721H is.
Hello okorder
There's an easy trial repair to see if indeed it's the monitor that's causing this problem. Just get a different monitor from another system in the house or try and borrow one from a friend. Connect it to the system and see what happens. If nothing happens ( no lines ) then you know it's your monitor that's bad and needs to be replaced. ( You really can't repair a monitor. ) Replacement is cheaper. If the borrowed monitor also has lines after that 30 minute period, then your graphics card would be suspect.
Are you sure it's the monitor? A bad graphics card can also do that. The getting hot part reminds me of the last time I had a graphics card die. If the monitor turns out to be the problem you can replace it for $150.00. Graphics cards can be had even cheaper. You don't repair this stuff, you replace it.
