Question:

Is this a good computer?

I'm looking to get a new computer some time soon. I'll be doing pretty much everything. Gaming, video/photo/audio viewing and editing. Intensive browsing with lots of tabs and extensions, I'll be downloading LOTS of things so I need as much storage as I can get. And overall I just want the fastest computer possible. Here are the parts I came up with:Processor: Intel Core i7-3960X 3.3 GHZ 15MB cacheMemory: 32 gigabytesHard Drives - Main=2TB 7200RPM....Backup - 500GB 7200 RPMGraphic Card - AMD RADEON 7970 3GBLiquid cooling solutionIs this a good computer for the things to do I specified. I need all the help I can get. Are the Bulldozer FX 8150 AMDs better than core i7? No solid state drives because I need the most space. Is the memory good enough? Is the storage on main hard drive good? Is the graphic card good enough to play lots of games? Are the NVIDIA cards better?Thank you,devjaiswal2001

Answer:

cpu: wasted. nothing you will be running will even utilize 1/2 of it.... even video editing. The only thing will will make use of 12threads is 3d animation rendering lol. Just get an i7-2600k... ram: wasted, even for video editing and 3d animation, 32GB is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much. 90% of your ram will go unused.... You will NEVER need more then 16GB for ANYTHING lol... (never need more then 8GB for a gaming computer) No the bulldozer cpus suck... Yes nvidia cards are better for design. Most all professional video editing software has support for nvidia cuda, which lets your graphics card help with rendering. Amount of storage depends on the person, so you think you will need more then 2.27TB of storage lol? Also you know you can get like a 128GB SSD and install windows and any software/games you want to run faster on the SSD, and keep everything else on the HDDs?
Yes it is a great computer and will last for years to come memory a bit of an over kill I would go with 8-16 amd is not better than intel comparable but not better however amd is usually cheaper and between nvidia and amd is choice

Yes that computer is Good for what you need and make sure you have 4GBRam that would be all you need to play all the games out there and Yes NIVIDA cards are much better, Intel core i7 is much better then AMDS, All you have to do is change to the NIVIDA Graphic card your have better experience in games.
