NoInsoluble Fiber just moves through your body, sponging up anything left in your digestive system before exiting, if you willIt is completely indigestible, and if you feel no side effects, you are certainly fine I don't understand how too much insoluble fiber can lead to constipation, as I eat tons of it and have never had that problemSoluble Fiber, on the other hand can lead to tons of gas, as soluble fiber, though undigestible by your own digestive system, is digested by bacteria in your gut, which release various gases that we know as flatulence whenever they have digested something In order to avoid digestion problems, such as any possible constipation, drink plenty of water along with fiberAlso, remember that most of the artificial fiber powders and fiber one products are worth less than nothingThe chicory root extract that is dumped into fiber one products does absolutely nothing for you, except feed the bacteria in your gutWhile most soluble fiber helps reduce cholesterol, inulin the (the chemical name for chicory root extract) has been proven to not do thatMost of the high fiber cereals are overpriced anyway; my advice, try plain shredded wheat insteadThe only ingredient listed is whole grain wheat, you have six grams of fiber and also protein per serving, along with all the whole grains you need in a day, and it's about half the price of standard high fiber cerealsUse fruit (raisins, berries, bananas) to sweeten it.
