Question:

is this price fair for a car alarm?

it's a 1998 honda civic. Im installing the alarm that they are offering( i don't own the alarm) so features :almost anything u can think of. like lock doors, start the car, alarm, horns and flash lifghts. 2 way alarm with a screen, 2500 feets range, command confirmation ( i don't know what is this one), safety bypass(whatever this means too), confirmation stuff.. keyless entry.lifetime warranty ( no idea too ) the price of alarm with installation about $450 do You think it's too much, or I should not even bother and ask in different places ?

Answer:

No. This isn't something you would get your money back for (unless it happened multiple times in one night). When you are at work and there is a false alarm fire drill, do you not get paid for the time you are standing in the parking lot? Sure you do.
From a legal standpoint either a termination or a RIF can cause a discrimination suit. See (eeoc ). In a termination the employer must have paperwork backing the reasons for the the termination such as disciplinary write ups, documents to the employee that show poor performance or violations of company rules. For a RIF there should be an economic reason, such as elimination of a job, a number of people being RIFed. If there is a potential for this employee claiming that the termination or the RIF was due to discrimination (age, sex, race, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, military or marital status -eeoc ) it may be more economical for the employer to offer a severance package. In a severance package the employer provides a dollar amount to the employee for the employee signing an agreement not to sue.
Unless the hotel pulled the fire alarm then no, you might be able to get a discount or a discount on a future stay.
