Question:

Is your baby scared of the vacuum cleaner?

My 7 month old is scared of vacuum cleaners. He looks terrified when we put it on and sometimes he will cry and sometimes he just stares at it with his bottom lip sticking out. what does your baby do when the vacuum cleaner is by them?

Answer:

My baby that's 10 months already loves the vacuum. He's loved it since day 1. He chases it around the room when I'm vacuuming. But I think it's because when I was pregnant I had ocd or something cause I would vacuum like 3 times a day and he heard it when he was in my womb all the time. But I know the perfect gift to buy him for his year birthday, a play vacuum. LOL
My nephew use to be terrified of vacuum cleaners, everytime I would go to vacuum the floor he would burst into tears as soon as I turned it on. I started picking him up and holding him while I was vacuuming and that seemed to help. He's 2 now and doesn't freak out over it anymore.
Yes mine is 10 months old; he used to not care but around 7 months he started getting scared whenever we turned it on. he wouldn't go near it even when it was off he was so scared of it. I actually use this to my advantage haha. Before; whenever I would go into the bathroom he would follow me and try to get in the toilet; my makeup box; the toilet paper etc....I don't like closing the door when I'm doing my makeup(the bathroom is small I have to step all the way over to the bathtub to close the door) so it was argh annoying; so my husband had the bright idea one day to put the vacuum cleaner in the doorway so that he wouldn't follow me. LOL it worked; he took one look at it turned right around left. hehe now I keep the vacuum in the bathroom always put it in the doorway when doing my makeup.
YEAP! She never was in the beginning. In fact she used to sleep through me vacuuming... But now she cries/cries like its a monster or something. So I don't do it unless the hubby or i can keep her occupied during it, in a separate room. Before I don't think she paid it much mind, now shes SO aware of whats going on around her... I imagine the vacuum cleaner is a little scary.
Yes. Brianna is scared of the vacum cleaner. She runs away as soon as I bring the vacum cleaner. She hides behind the door. Too funny to watch. Secretly I'm enjoying the reaction from her :-)
