Question:

Keyboard not working on dell Inspiron 7520?

I hear a little click everytime I press a key on the keyboard. What happend?

Answer:

I think the Stick Key's are ON. Press Shift for a couple for times.
Unless you have Sticky keys on it's not common to hear little clicks on all buttons but on certain buttons when the keyboard is getting used very much you can hear certain clicks. This is created because the button underneath is showing some wear and tear. If it still working you don't have to worry that much and when the buttons get stuck you can change it with few dollars. Good luck. Here is a link to show you how much it is: OKorder .uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-GENU
Hi SchylerR, I would suggest you to check the keyboard for signs of damage, spills or abuse if any. Run hardware diagnostics on the keyboard. Shut down the system and keep tapping F12 during startup select Diagnostics. The Keyboard fails in diagnostics, reseat the Keyboard Cable in the system. Refer to the link in the manual for instructions on reseating the keyboard: bit.ly/ZOOS9j If the issue still persists, you may have to replace the motherboard. You may test with a different good known external keyboard and also check if the on screen keyboard works. Hope this helps. Thanks and Regards Priyanka S
