Question:

KLH speakers?

I was on Amazon and I had seen some of this brand speakers and on the forums there it says these are great speakers but cheaper as they do not spend money on advertisingAnyone know how this brand does as far as performance or durability? They were only like $50 I think for a 5 speaker set up

Answer:

KLH has been around for decades. I am currently sitting next to a pair of KLH floor speakers that were made around 1970 and cost around $800. They still work today. As far as their new products, I don't have much experience with those. I had a relative of mine hook up some small KLH speakers outside around his pool and they sounded ok, but not anything like the 10 woofer units I have from 39 years ago.
They sound like 50 dollar speakers. They use to sale them at best buy, not sure if they still do or not, but they were the low end speakers. I tryed them out and they sound flat. Are they worth 50 bucks, yes.
Don't know about the 5.1 KLH speakers, I have a 10 inch KLH sub and 2 KLH speakers for my rear speakers and have no problems with them. I heard that the Energy Take speakers are good, Cnet did a review on them but I can't find it now but they gave them a good review.
