A 22Lr will penetrate a motorcycle helmet easily, up to about 50 yards. After that, it depends on the helmet. Helmets are just fiberglass over foam, not made to be bullet proof. A .30 caliber rifle round will go through the helmet, your head, and out the other side. Even on a so-called bullet proof helmet, let alone a motorcycle helmet. Some people learn better as a group effort. I don't. This is what works for me: Alone in the room. No auditory or visual distractions. I use a Bose sound-cancelling headset. Proper lighting (flickering tube fluorescent drives me nuts). Temperature and humidity optimal for you, not shivering or sleepy. Strict schedule, 10 minute break every 90 minutes works for me. Meal breaks only the necessary time to eat, then right back to work. No social interactions (door locked, phone switched off, computer either turned off or only using features needed for study or homework. Remember that your studies are your future. More important than anything else to you at present. If your family is rightly motivated, they will understand. Present friendships and leisure activities are transitory and far less important than you presently think. Nutrition, sufficient sleep and physical exercise are the only priorities that are in the same order of magnitude as your studies at this point in your life. Also ignore certain hormonal urges, acting on them is not only a distraction but can get you into various kinds of trouble. Save that for adulthood after your studies are over. - .
