my parents want to get a leather sofa. They are all owww but we have wanted one for so longfair enough however i, being a vegetarian don't go near a leather sort of person i do not approve.plz help me p.s some evidence or something would be fantasticthanx
I think you're going to have to sit on a throw pillow or something to keep the leather off of you. Also avoid eating the sofa.
That was in England, but I can definitely imagine the same thing happening here. Chinese made sofas had 'sachets' of an antifungal inside the couches to prevent mold from growing on the leather, the antifungal stuff poisoned a bunch of people.
Here is a solution get a used leather sofa. You won't be contributing too the death and suffering of other animals nor will you be buying a new product which will always hurt animals and the earth more nor will you be buying a fake product made out of harmful chemicals which will hurt everything. Plus it will appease your parents, they get there silly leather sofa and no animals are harmed to get it (aside from the ones harmed to make it in the first place which you have nothing to do with because they were killed a long time ago for someone else and you are just stopping it from being thrown out or destroyed which creates more harm) I don't much like leather either and would always try and stay away from leather but rather it come used then buying anything new. As the phrase goes: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...sad that few people actually follow it and that the government uses it as a pretty veil for their destruction and waste.
Say it exactly like that,,, Don't buy a leather sofa 'cos I don't approve..,, After they they stop laughing, tell them why.. after they laugh some more, tell them you found that out on some vegetarian website and from other kids in this forum.. Is there a law in your house that you have to go near where the sofa is? I also wonder if you can get close enough to your parents to talk since they eat meat and they have meat in their bodies and I'm sure you don't approve of that either.. You must be living indoors all the time because I doubt you go out at all since everywhere you go, there is a danger that you will be near some leather or animal product which of course we already know you don;t approve since you are the don't go near leather sort of person.. FYI- I want to say goodbye since we probably won't hear from you again after I tell you that the computer you used to type this question also has some animal by product and of course, you don't approve being near it..,,
