My passenger side tire has a nail in it. Its losing air really really slowly. I will not be able to bring it in until Tuesday and do not have a spare tire. I was going to drive another car, but could I lift the passenger side with a jack to relieve tire pressure on it? Would this be a good idea?If not please let me know what I should do so I can make it to belle tire safely on tuesday for them to patch it up for me. Helpful comments only please. Thanks!
maximum secure decision is to place your spare on and get on your nearest tyre depot. There are various factors dictating as to if or no longer it somewhat is repaired, IE has it been pushed on flat? the place is the hollow? how vast is it? what's the linked fee score of the tyre? any previous upkeep? it somewhat isn't any longer cautioned to force on a tyre with a nail in in any respect . This will do nothing to help slow the airflow out of the tire.What you should do is buy some tire plugs in a kit that's sold in every auto parts store and then google how to plug a tire on youtube(I'm sure someone has video taped themselves doing this)You could try fix a flat.E-mail me and I will talk you through it.You will need to tell the tire tech there is fix a flat in the tire.They sell 12 volt air compressors at family dollar,advance auto,auto zone etc.
Not to worry, just keep an eye on it and if loose some air just refilled, you can drive for months with a nail on a tire
