Question:

Locked keys in car. Suggestions?

Okay, so my boyfriend locked the keys in our car while doing some repairs on it. And the parts we need to fix it are in the car, too HA. Anyways, I really need to open that sucker, and I've run out of ideas. Keep in mind that I'm super broke.-The windows aren't open and I've already tried to pry them down enough to stick a hanger inside, which didn't work. I'd like to give it another shot, but my BF's afraid of the window shattering from too much pressurecould that happen? -_o-Also, people say you can get a new key from a dealership. I have a friend who could pick it up for me, but about how much would that run me?My boyfriend's about ready to try and bust open a smaller, useless window in the back so any advice to avoid that would be great!NOTE: Car's a 2002 ford escort with manual locks and roll-down windows.

Answer:

Find a Mexican in the parking lot, they can get it open with no harm done to the car ;)
I agree with the other answer. Call the police (non emergency number which isn't 911 btw) and the might just be nice enough to help.
As a former manager I have to say this. YOU FIRED YOURSELF Seriously though, The company might not have a specific clause saying that, (eg No personal internet use), but it will have a clause about no using company property for personal use/gain, or something to that matter. In this case Company property was the computer while the use/gain was to check your myspace. I see nothing wrong with what the company. You need to just accept the fact that you goofed up and start looking for a job as it is very tough now a days.
Yes you could get a key from the dealer but a new car has a computer chip embedded in the key and it would run over $200 for the key. No computer chip probably about $10. You also have to prove you own the car, car registration etc., probably locked in the car right? A locksmith would be cheaper. Where is your extra set, anyway? Calling the police in my large city would just get you laughed at, really people. The police are too busy to act as your locksmith. Do you own AAA, or have Roadside Assistance as a benefit on your car insurance policy? Then if you do this service is already included in your premium. No cost to you. Call your insurance to check. Hey, and when you get the key back check to see how much it would cost to get a duplicate for such emergencies.
