I got a laptop for my girlfriend for christmas and it just arrived in the mail. I will be leaving for a month nov 5 and am wondering how to store it. If i let the battery run down, is it going to kill the battery? Would i be better off just having the laptop shut off but plugged in? I dont want to break or ruin her gift. Any advice is appreciated.
Separate the battery from the laptop and if you have the box, just keep it in the box. They arrive non-connected and that is the right way to store it. Don't run down the battery. Don't leave it plugged in and charging.
