Question:

Making a Sculpey Clay Mask?

I was going to make a mask for Halloween later on in the year out of Sculpey clayI was hoping to find a safe way to make it fit on my faceThe problem is, I have glasses, and it's quite annoying to put them over the maskPutting the glasses under the mask makes it uncomfortableMy question is:Is there a safe way I can make the Sculpey clay mask to fit my face, with my glasses? And if so, how do I make the mask?

Answer:

just get full coverage insuranceIf it gets stolenwho cares you'll still get the money for it
Although I have never worked with Sculpey I have worked with paper macheI used aluminum foil to get an impression of a face wearing glasses then applied the paper onto the foilWhen it dried I then built the rest of the mask onto thatHaving a place for the mask to rest on the glasses make for a very securely fitting maskSo try the aluminum foil as I did but instead of using the paper apply your Sculpey to the foilBeing careful to not apply too much pressure causing you to loose the form of the foilI used a styrofoam wig stand for support of the foil during the construction.
