Question:

Metal or not???

Does anyone else agree with me that A7X and BFMV are metal bands???

Answer:

just so i know what you're talking about : Black metal is an extreme metal subgenre. The genre is characterized by an aggressive and abrasive sound, coupled with a dark atmosphere and rejection of Judeo-Christian values.
Right now I'm into more death and black metal bands..especially those from Norway and places like that. Not only do they know how to play at neck-breaking/inhuman speeds, but they're also insane as hell!!!!! m/ (My current favorite is Dissection) Props to doom metal as well though.
After listening to tons of different genres... black, death, sludge, doom, avantgarde, goth, viking, blackened death, power, speed, heavy metal, mesopotamian black, industrial, hummpa-black metal hybrid (how else do you describe Finntroll?)... I must say I'm partial to black. I started out listening to Dimmu Borgir, (which, may I add, In Sorte Diaboli is actually better than I thought it would be), and got addicted to black metal. Used music stores are my version of heaven. If there's some random used cd that's under $10 and looks interesting, I'll buy it. (That's how I discovered Naer Mataron)
My favorite type of metal is straight-up no frills heavy metal like Manilla Road, Overlorde, Ironsword, or Twisted Tower Dire. I also like black metal (especially the atmospheric/ambient kind) and doom metal when I'm more 'relaxed' and I like death metal when I'm feeling energetic. I usually listen to death metal before a race or when I'm lifting weights. Basically, I like them all for different reasons.
Heavy metal is as heavy as I can listen 2. After that it just doesn't interest me.
